04/24/2023 - Three outstanding Alaska business leaders will join the Alaska Business Hall of Fame

Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) - 3 outstanding Alaska business leaders will join the Alaska Business Hall of Fame at the annual Junior Achievement recognition event in Jan.

Business peers recently selected Sheri Buretta, Pres. & CEO of Chugach Alaska Corporation, David Karp, SVP & Managing Director for Saltchuk and President of Naniq Global Logistics, and Mark Pfeffer, Founder of Pfeffer Development and CONRAC Solutions.

The committee will also present the prestigious Denali Award to Jennifer Schrage, President of Signature Land Services.

Schrage will be the third Alaskan to ever receive this award.

These business leaders are honored for their direct impact toward furthering the success of Alaska business, demonstrated support and commitment to Junior Achievement’s programs, and demonstrated commitment to Alaska business.

In 1987, Alaska Business Magazine began the Alaska Business Hall of Fame to honor outstanding individuals of Alaskan business.

Since then, the event has become one of the state’s most prestigious events, inducting new Laureates on an annual basis.

The event is a fundraiser for Junior Achievement of Alaska, a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to the economic empowerment of K-12 students in Alaska.

The 36th annual celebration includes a reception beginning at 5:30 p.m., dinner, and an induction ceremony at 6:30 p.m., concluding by 8:30 p.m.

The evening will also include a special recognition of the many past inductees who will be in attendance.

Individual tickets are $150, with limited sponsorship opportunities available.
